Some have asked if this is a picture of our canned foods and the answer is NO - We would never stack home canned jars on each other and we remove the rings just in case the sealed lid breaks and the food becomes unsafe - We just think it is a cool picture!

We have become acquainted with a couple on YouTube that are called The Provident Preppers. We highly recommend them to anyone who wants to see what others are doing to prepare for virtually anything that comes along. One segment they have is called "Newbie Prepper". There are about 10 different segments that are designed for anyone just starting out. Of course, as always, it is important to remember that you are preparing as you see fit. Do not go into debt or think you are so far behind that you have to take drastic measures. Follow the counsel of Church leaders and prepare Line upon Line as you are able to.
Following Church leaders counsel is always the best path to take - There were a few changes I have found (with some help) in the Gospel Library so finding the segment in Self Reliance - Preparedness was difficult to find.
