Some have asked if this is a picture of our canned foods and the answer is NO - We would never stack home canned jars on each other and we remove the rings just in case the sealed lid breaks and the food becomes unsafe - We just think it is a cool picture that was shared with us by a good friend who helped get this whole thing started.

Following Church leaders counsel is always the best path to take regardless whether it is preparedness or any of life's topics - There were a few changes I have found (with some help) in our church online Gospel Library . Finding the segment in Self Reliance - Preparedness was a bit more difficult to find. We have become acquainted with a couple on YouTube that are called The Provident Preppers. https://www.youtube.com/@TheProvidentPrepper
We highly recommend them to anyone who wants to see what others are doing to prepare for virtually anything that comes along. One segment they have is called "Newbie Prepper". There are about 10 different segments that are designed for anyone just starting out. If you want a good chuckle you can see us on one of the Provident Preppers YouTube videos at by going to YouTube and searching - "Provident Preppers Community" and there we are - it was a fun interview!
As always, it is important to remember that you are preparing as you see fit. Do not go into debt or think you are so far behind that you have to take drastic measures. Follow the counsel of Church leaders and prepare Line upon Line as you are able to.
We also have been following RoseRed Homestead on YouTube. Pam is a retired professor and takes a very concise and scientific look at various aspects of preparedness and home production and storage.
